Sonia Poulter and friends - July 2006
Sonia did a 3-day place to place ride with her husband and 2 friends. As she lives very close to the edge of the network, we designed a special itinerary so that they could box out to the start and ride back home again.

The photo on the left shows the three ladies and their horses en route in a shady spot.
The one to the right shows all four horses having a lunchtime rest at the White Horse in Graffham. This pub is one of the really good ones that has a proper hitching rail and some welcome shade under the trees on what turned out to be a very hot day.
Ronnie Mount & Carole Bennett - May 2005
Ronnie e-mailed us to say "Thank you so much for organising our ride - it was fantastic! We have had so many tales to tell (I'm sure we bored our last host silly with all our tales and video footage!). I'm afraid we made the most of the luggage service and took all but the kitchen sink! Mind you, we were glad of this when it poured hard with rain all day on our last day!" They also had a few comments about Carole's ball gown (complete with flashing flip flops), but we thought we'd better not ask about these!!
The photo above shows Ronnie and Carole setting out from Walderton - their ponies are Herbie, a Haflinger and Jess, a Welsh Section C.
Rachel Wilcock - June 2005
Rachel travelled all the way down from Yorkshire to join her friend Eveline and two other ladies who live fairly close to the Sussex Rides network. The 4 ladies tried one of the two one-centre holidays in this network, with rides from Walderton into the Downs.

The two photos left are of the horses at the Royal Oak at Hooksway, one of our lunchtime pub-stops, while the one below shows the horses relaxing in the field at Walderton.

Interestingly, Caroline and her friend did the other one-centre holiday in Sussex, which is based just outside Petworth and told us that they had a lovely time. She e-mailed us such a lot of photos, that she almost exploded the Bridle Rides computer!
They obviously had great weather, and the horses really look as if they're enjoying themselves.
